djauwerda89 Bio
#1
Hey all,

My name is Dave, I'm a teacher and coach by trade.  I'm excited to see this platform grow.  I've been a collector for over 40 years, and it's kinda hard to nail down my collection one way or another... which is what I'm hoping this site will help me accomplish.  My SCN ID is djauwerda, my TCDb is djauwerda89, my eBay ID is charliehorsefeather.  I'm not much of a seller, but am always down for a trade if it helps both collectors involved.

My collection is, well.... eclectic.  As far as cards go, I'm a set collector.  I have probably close to 50 completed sets and I have about 100 sets from between 1976-2023 that I'm currently trying to put together.  The card count is probably around 75-80K cards.  I'm mostly baseball & football, with some hockey and some non-sports as well, but just a bit.  I currently have my card lists & sets housed on TCDb.com.

I am also an autograph hound.  I probably have close to 2,500 autographs in my collection.  I have been a big TTM'er since the 1990's, which constitutes the majority of my collection.  Most of my TTM efforts also revolve around my custom cards that I create.  My current "Big 3" projects are an All-time roster collection for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, & Chicago Blackhawks.  I'm not quite sure how many autographs from those teams I have currently although I know I'm north of 600 for the Cubs, 400 for the Bears, and 200 for the Blackhawks.  I also collect Hall of Famers from football, basketball, & baseball, as well as Boise State pieces (I'm an alumni), and alternative football leagues like the USFL, XFL, UFL, IFL, AFL... you get the drift.  Besides my customs, I have many other memorabilia pieces (photos, balls, helmets, jerseys, etc).  I have a couple other specific players as well.

I'm mostly looking for this site to help me organize & catalog my autograph collection as I don't have a clean way of organizing it currently.  I might flip my cards over here eventually too.  Although TCDb has been a GODSEND to me in that regard.

Looking forward to digging into this project.  Thanks for putting this together, Dave!
